La Pitchina (36m2) is located on one of the village’s main streets, so you can stop and unload your car at the door! Situated in a 3 storey, west facing building that is totally upgraded with one apartment per floor. In other words, La Pitchina is on one level. In detail, there is just one step between the kitchen-living room and one step between the 2 bedrooms, making it easy for those with children or those with walking difficulties. Another point is there is no property opposite, hence no vis-a-vis just an open view to the hills beyond. In fact this is unusual for a village house.
Enter the apartment directly into a bright kitchen-living room with 2 windows. In brief, you will find a comfy sofa and brand new kitchen table and chairs, fridge/freezer, oven and 4 ring electric stove. Even more, there is a microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine (French press and capsule machine), kettle, toaster, sink and storage cupboards. In addition, there is a small seating area underneath one of the windows and a bluetooth speaker for your pleasure. After that, you arrive in a corridor, which leads to the bathroom, followed by second bedroom and finally the main bedroom at the end.
The bathroom has been totally renovated, it has a shower, w.c and wash-hand basin. The tiles are in black and white.
This little bedroom with window has a single bed (90cm). You pass through this room to reach the main bedroom. To summarise, the apartment is best suited to couples, good friends or family members. In addition, there is a washing machine-dryer tucked away in a cupboard below the window and there is a secretaire desk plus storage.
The main bedroom has a double window, double bed (140cm), mirror and storage. After that, there is a pretty view to the hills beyond. At last, air con is provided, which is sufficient to cool the entire apartment if you leave the door open plus there are fans at your disposal during the summer months.
The building has a charming outside space around it, with a paved pathway with pretty flower beds. Above all, the view is open, green and very pleasant and the pathway rises above the village road, keeping it more private. La Pitchina has a small terrace off the pathway with table and chairs for outside dining. In short you can enjoy the afternoon sun or take a chilled apero at sunset with the aroma of lavender, thyme and rosemary planted all around. Another key point is there is an electric awning to protect you from the sun in the hotter months. The pathway offers access to one other apartment in the building and a house further up – both second homes. However, it is only used for access as theses properties have their own outside space. There are 3-4 steps up to the front door.
This delightful, Haut de Cagnes apartment is located close to a free car park in the village, the paying car park Le Planastel and the bus stop for the free shuttle bus, which runs from the town to the village every 15 minutes. In other words, it is convenient. In addition, La Pitchina is situated on a road easily accessible and large enough for any car to pass, without risking damage. Expect sun from the afternoon to early evening.
Restaurants and cafes are a 5 minute walk away, and the town below is very close with its food market, supermarket, bakeries, chemist, bank and selection of shops. Another key point, is that the town is well services with buses going to most places on the Cote d’Azur. In addition, there is a train station. The sea is a 30 minute walk and a free beach bus is provided from the town in July and August. All things considered, you would be pushed to find another small apartment as convenient and as well equipped as La Pitchina.
